The Minnesota Twins are a team that is enriched with the history of baseball. The team started in Kansas City in 1894 as a Western League team. In 1901 they were moved to Washington and became the Washington Nationals (Washington Senators). The team was immortalized in Damn Yankees. What makes the Twins interesting to me, and why I am a fan is that there is just so much history associated with the team. I am not able to attend Spring Training this year, but I have attended spring training for other teams.

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and team hitting coach Kevin Long have completed three days of pre-spring training drills. Jeter worked on a number of batting fundamentals, including his stride, in a batting cage during the final session on Friday at the Yankees' minor league complex. The 36-year old Jeter has a career batting average of .314, but hit just .270 last season.
