The New York Yankees were able to beat the Chicago White Sox 9-5 on Tueday night behind three home runs. Jason Giambi, Bobby Abreu, and Johnny Damon all hit home runs for the Yankees. The Yankees used seven runs in the seventh and eigth innings to blow the game wide open.

Abreu led the Yankees with four RBI as he hit a grand slam in the seventh inning. Damon wasn’t too far behind Abreu as he finished with three RBI. Hideki Matsui and Giambi both finished with one RBI each.

Chien-Ming Wang improved to 4-0 on the season as he pitched six innings to pick up the win. Wang did allow 10 hits, but limited the White Sox to only three runs. Billy Traber and Kyle Farnsworth both allowed one run out of the bullpen.

The New York Yankees continue to play bad baseball as they were shutout by the Kansas City Royals 4-0 on Wednesday night. They Yankees just couldn’t get the bats going against crafty pitcher Zack Greinke of the Royals. The Yankees now drop to 4-5 on the season.

Brian Bruney started on the mound for the Yankees as Ian Kennedy was scratced from the start because the Yankees expected rain to halt the game. Bruney pitched two innings of scoreless baseball and then was replaced by Billy Traber who pitched a scoreless inning. Kyle Farnsworth then came in and allowed two earned runs and Kennedy finally came in and allowed another two earned runs. Farnsworth ended up taking the loss on the game.

The Yankees just flat stunk it up tonight. Hopefully the bats will come around and they will pick up a victory tomorrow.

It was another nail biting win for the New York Yankees over the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday. The Yankees had to get the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning when Bobby Abreu singled in Melky Cabrera.

It would be nice to see the Yankees score more runs with the offense that they have. These one run ball games will go to the other team sometimes, so the offense really needs to pick things up and not rely on the pitching staff so much.

Phil Hughes pitched six strong innings for the Yankees, and then it was lights out as Billy Traber, Brian Bruney, Joba Chamberlain, and Mariano Rivera held the Blue Jays down.

It was a good win for the Yankees who improved their record to 2-1.
