The New York Yankees continue to play bad baseball as they were shutout by the Kansas City Royals 4-0 on Wednesday night. They Yankees just couldn’t get the bats going against crafty pitcher Zack Greinke of the Royals. The Yankees now drop to 4-5 on the season.
Brian Bruney started on the mound for the Yankees as Ian Kennedy was scratced from the start because the Yankees expected rain to halt the game. Bruney pitched two innings of scoreless baseball and then was replaced by Billy Traber who pitched a scoreless inning. Kyle Farnsworth then came in and allowed two earned runs and Kennedy finally came in and allowed another two earned runs. Farnsworth ended up taking the loss on the game.
The Yankees just flat stunk it up tonight. Hopefully the bats will come around and they will pick up a victory tomorrow.
